Rochester police seize drugs worth $100K

ROCHESTER — A simple motor vehicle stop Thursday evening resulted in the seizure of about $7,000 in cash and marijuana, THC edibles and vapor cartridges with an estimated street value of $100,000, police said.

Joseph Sessine, 25, of Plymouth was stopped for a civil motor vehicle infraction and Officer Alex Malo learned there was an active warrant for Sessine’s arrest, police said.

Officers searched the vehicle and found approximately $7,000 in cash, 21 pounds of marijuana and hundreds of various THC edibles and vapor cartridges, police said.

Police said the drugs have an estimated street value of $100,000.

Sessine was arrested and ordered held without bail, police said. He is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a Class C substance as well as speeding and an outstanding warrant.
